After making pinch pots, our class moved on to pots with lids. These pots are made by forming two pinch pots that are approximately the same size, then scratching around the rims and pushing the two bowls together to form what my teacher called a "coconut". After the coconut hardened a little, I paddled it into a pyramid shape and added the cuts. The yellowish areas were created by using a glaze that turns a different color with a wax resist.
