Fruit Bowl

Our final project in Ceramics I was to use a mold. I wanted to create a large bowl, but I had to cut away from the sphere to make the rectangular shape I visioned. After peeling away the sides, I added triangles of clay to the corners. The feet are little arches that give the bowl kind of an Asian flare. I love peacocks, and I tried to create an arrangement of peacock feathers by using sgraffito on the inside. Unfortunately, the glaze pooled on the inside, clouding part of my design. That's okay, I can use it to fill with fruit!
