I got a pair of dark denim shorts at Old Navy for $5, and look what I made! First, I let half of the shorts, or one leg, to hang in diluted bleach for a few hours. Once it faded into my desired white-ish shade, I let the shorts dry over night. The next day, I used tape to outline the shorts and painted around the tape with red fabric paint. Then I made a star stencil and painted stars all over the shorts with white fabric paint. Once everything dried, I flipped them over and painted the back. I used that collage above to post on Pinterest.
