Abstract Guitar

In seventh grade, my art teacher told me to take a sketch of a guitar to "an abstract level." I played the guitar at the time, and I loved the hourglass shape of my acoustic guitar. After practicing the sketch on smaller paper, I matted the final drawing in yellow above. A couple months later, I reproduced a smaller "abstract guitar" and submitted it to Apple Sauce, a literary magazine for middle-school students. The top picture is my guitar in their 20th issue.
